The weather on Saturday, September 27, 2008 was misty, so the reunion moved indoors to Bob and Sue Woodward's beautifully furnished colonial farmhouse in Pocopson Township, Chester County, PA. About 25 cousins assembled, bearing varied and delicious dishes, including the always anticipated homemade grape pies by June Waterman! The conviviality began immediately! Barb Daland took her first turn as chair, and we all appreciated her efforts. Hubby Tim and son Tucker supported her. Cousin Rick Page from Virginia was back after a hiatus of about 15 years and brought along friend Christine and brother John. Ann Woodward Rumford gets the prize for corraling the most cousins: her brother Bob, nephews Bob, Jr., and Mark with his bride, Amanda; and Bob, Jr.'s son, Patrick, age 7. We sorely missed Phyllis Woodward Gray, who missed her first reunion ever due to ill health.

Cousin Jeanne Menges offered the prayer of thanks and remembrance, with special thoughts for Sally Woodward Ross, as we gathered around the dining room before gorging ourselves on goodies!

Host Bob Woodward gave a fascinating tour of the old barn with a great game of "Can you identify this old tool?" Sue Woodward's pampered horse received lots of treats from the visitors. It was a great day and we thank all who attended and helped. Hope you enjoy the photos, compliments of Laurence Ostrom.

Beautiful weather, beautiful setting, beautiful food, beautiful cousins! For those who missed it, enjoy these photos courtesy of Laurence Ostrom (Theodore Woodward-John J. Woodward-Margaret Woodward Ostrom).
Oh, I almost forgot the ferocious funny roosters who were kicked back in their place by Cousin Doreen when they attacked her grandchildren!

Canceled because of illness
and a
funeral.

Our September 17, 2005 reunion was the smallest so far at about 20 attendees, yet it was the most intimate with cousins now well acquainted. We thank hosts Sue and Bob Woodward (Theodore, Theodore, Jr.) for offering their lovely farm property, a perfect venue for picnicking under large old shade trees on the warmer-than-normal day.
Of course the picnic fare was outstanding as always in quantity and quality and we lingered on this lovely day of kinship and joy.
