The September 15 reunion was held despite the horrible events of
September 11. Our group was small, only about 25-30, but no less
enjoyable. Cousins brought precious memorabilia to display on the
dining table of the Woodward Victorian farmhouse.
Great-grandmother Hannah Mattson Woodward's eyeglasses were among
the treasures. Also more of John Jackson Woodward's diary
in which he noted he attended the inauguration of President Martin Van
Buren in Washington, DC in 1836. After the usual delicious picnic,
Cousin Ruth Woodward Krebs animated
us to share family news and stories. We felt the comfort of family
even more so following the unforgettable tragedy of September 11.
Our thanks to 2001 chair, Steve Woodward.
