The
Woodward-Mattson clan, originating
in Chester County, PA welcomes all those interested
in Woodward and Mattson research
in the southeastern Pennsylvania area. Our
progenitor on the Woodward side is
Robert Woodward (abt. 1638-1698)
and John Mattson (1686-1753)
for the distaff side. Our work also encompasses
the descendants of John
Jackson Woodward (1812-1875)
and his wife Hannah
Mattson (1816-1894) of Kennett
Township, Chester County, PA and of their
three sons, Albert
Mattson Woodward
(1839-1926), Adolphus
Darwin Woodward
(1841-1929), and
Theodore Bolton
Woodward
(1843-1916).
You can visually see that the left side of our webpage traces the male ancestors of John Jackson Woodward; the right side, those of his wife, Hannah Mattson. Please join us as we tell you about our history, genealogy, reunions,
newsletters, and yes, of course, about our mascot, the Wadard Knight
on the Bayeux Tapestry, c. 1066 A.D.! Home |
