page.jpg (20608 bytes) The first genealogy of the descendants of John Jackson Woodward   and Hannah Mattson Woodward of Kennett Township, Chester County, PA was published in 1981 by Laurence E. Ostrom of West Chester, PA. An updated edition became available in September 1998.

The new edition contains a biography of JJW (1812-1875), his will of 1872, an excerpt from his book, Spice for Spiritualists or The Dogma of an Immortal Life Examined and Considered, a biography of HMW (1816-1894) , ancestor charts for both JJW and HMW, and a listing of all known descendants of John and Hannah, as well as an index of descendants' names.

Reference copies are available to the public at the Chester County Historical Society, West Chester, PA; the Delaware County Historical Society, Marple, PA; the Library of Congress, Washington, DC; and the Genealogical Library of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City, UT.
